Dr. April Ritz, Dr. Kyla Burton, & Dr. Katie Siemer Summers are physical therapists that specialize in treating women & men with intimate pelvic floor concerns as well as pre & postnatal care.  Most people are not aware conservative treatment exists for urinary or bowel leakage, bladder symptoms, painful sex in marriage, tailbone, pelvic, abdominal, or rectal pain. Dr. April, Dr. Kyla, & Dr. Katie also enjoy treating mothers during pregnancy & postpartum whether they are having pain or leakage or just want to prepare for birth or return to exercise safely postpartum. Our goal is to help you live life to your fullest potential!

MEET DR. APRIL RITZ, PT, DPT

Dr. April has a passion for pelvic floor physical therapy (PT) and is ready to serve her hometown of Effingham and the surrounding communities. She graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Maryville University in 2016. She has her Certification of Pelvic Health Rehabilitation and her Certification of Obstetric PT for pregnancy and postpartum. Dr. Ritz has dedicated her training and career to pelvic floor rehabilitation and outpatient orthopedics. She is a wife and mother of three. Her family resides in Effingham and are members at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

MEET DR. KYLA BURTON, PT, DPT

Dr. Kyla has recently returned to Effingham where she is eager to share her knowledge and expertise in pelvic health rehabilitation with her hometown community. She graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Evansville and has extensive clinical experience working with patients who are experiencing urinary or bowel dysfunction as well as pre and post pregnancy. She has a special passion for working with women throughout all stages of pregnancy including the recovery postpartum.

MEET DR. KATIE SIEMER SUMMERS, PT, DPT, COMPT

Dr. Katie has been practicing physical therapy since graduating from Bradley University in 2014 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy.  Dr. Katie commits her career to guiding all patients through their rehab and recovery in pelvic health and wellness, musculoskeletal care, chronic pain, and more.  She is a Certified Manual Physical Therapist and is Dry Needling Certified.  Dr. Katie brings to the table an ability to connect with her clients in a trusting relationship that allows for education and training to meet the goals of the clients.  Outside of the clinic, she enjoys being active both indoor and out and spending time with family.
